The Nimrod is a Geodesic Airolite boat that consists of a simple, lightweight, wooden framework, braced with triangulated Kevlar® roving strands. This rugged basket-like frame is then covered with tough heat shrink aircraft type Dacron® that is sealed with paint, varnish or an iron-on Mylar film. The skin may be left translucent or finished in a color.
